Spring Beauty - Part 3—late spring – Launch to target 2

These photos pay special attention to the multi-faceted vitality of birds in the 3 phases of spring:
1. Early spring.
2. Mid-spring.
3. Late spring.
The viewers may notice some of the blurry edges of the birds in this series of photos. On pixel level, the blurry edges of the bird consist of white dots. ONE of the causes of these white dots is the reflection of strong light in daytime by the very thin and tiny (possibly damaged) furs of the birds. The tiny furs of the birds play the same role as the dusts discussed in a DCFever article黑夜光點之謎: 灰塵對光線散射,同時與其他景物一起被攝進照片中。……..
The shallower depth of field of big telephoto lens prevents those expensive lenses to record those tiny furs of the birds on a photo. In the real world, these wild birds should not have smooth edges because they do not use hair-conditioner after they get wet by the river water. Their furs are constantly damaged by water, wind and fighting. The smooth edges of birds recorded by big telephoto lens are just an artifact of the very shallow depth-of-field. Hence, for this aspect and for this aspect ONLY, the blurry edges in my photos actual indicate a superb image quality due to the deeper depth of field offered by compact digital cameras.
