I was lucky enough to spend the 2010 Christmas in Hong Kong. It was good to see old friends and meet new ones. Cold? It was warm as heaven for me. I decided to stay in Mong Kok 旺角朗豪酒店 instead of the typical TST tourist district. It certainly was a different experience.

Food certainly was one of the highlight of the trip. First lunch was at Ming Court in the Hotel. The place was over rated and poor service for the price.

One of the most fulfilling meal was 打冷.

For entertainment there were Andy Lau's Unforgettable concert and the Asia Game Show. I was on the same flight as 陳冠希 leaving NY. He is short and "dry".



I also got a good taste of the photography culture in Hong Kong. There were people with cameras EVERYWHERE. First time seeing 1881 in person rather than on DCFever.



Shopping in Hong Kong meant books and tea for me this time around. The 勐庫 千禧紅印 青餅 will need to age at least a few more years. On the other hand, the 易武 1999 紫黃印 青餅 is surprisingly drinkable.
