I am selling here a Mamiya C220F and two lenses in excellent conditions. C220F is the last model of the C220 line of Mamiya's twin-lens reflex camera series. It was introduced in the 1980s. Earlier models use a crank located at the top corner of the camera for film advancement. The F model changed it to a wheel in the middle of the body, making the process more ergonomic. C220F, compared to previous models, is difficult to find.
C220 series is less mechanically complicated than the C330 line. C220 needs to manually cock the shutter, while C330 automatically cocks the shutter with film advancement. However, many prefer the C220 as it is smaller and lighter.
Everything works on this camera. However, as one of the picture shows, the focusing hood panel does not fall completely flat when folded. This does not affect the operation.
The camera comes with two lenses. The standard lens is the rare 80mm S F2.8. This is also the last lens designed by Mamiya with the introduction of C220F and C330F in the 1980s. It differs from earlier 80mm F2.8 with an all black front design. The engravings are on the barrel of the lens. This lens, which is equivalent to 45mm in 35mm format, is ideal for portrait and street photography. The lens comes with two off-market 49mm lens cap.
The second lens is the 55mm F4.5 lens, which is about 30mm in 35mm format. The lens is mounted on the camera in the first picture. This is the widest lens of the Mamiya TLR lens series and is ideal for landscape and travel photography. The lens has its original front and back caps. Please see this review of the lens: http://women-and-dreams.blogspot.com/2018/08/mamiya-55mm-f45-phantom-itch.html
I now rarely use the camera and so the set is up for sale. The Mamiya lenses produce lovely and sharp images.
