A super fine example of the high-top-big-nose Leica M case (Catagory Nr. 14526, Code Word IDYOO):
Leica's best M case, DIYOO accomodates an M body with
1. a RF version 35mm Summicron/ Summaron or DR w/ its goggle on .
2. a light meter/ auxiliary viewfinder on top.
3. a fast lens such as Summilux 50 1.4 etc.
It is still the best M lens on earth by strap lugs to the case I/O to the body, avoding scratching your precious M body / strap lugs.
No one else (except Kameraleather) has this design!
To evaluate a DIYOO, here is where to look:
1. The interior light blue Burgundy corduroy (勃艮第灯芯绒) should be dry, clean & fresh;
2. The metal hinges to the strap lugs should be strong & secured.
3. The metal inserts (yes, DIYOO has brass inserts in between the corduroy and leather surface on the bottom and to both sides to protect your M) should be firm.
Built like a tank, it protect the M body & lens that no one else can.
Doug at Rolleica™ eliminated its only glitch by replacing the fixed nail with a 【brass snap button】 Metal part inside the case is covered by a 1.5mm thick lambskin.
A brilliant revise!
When shooting, you can take off the case nose, carrying only the lower half, which is in near mint condition.
DIYOO is oft THE investment M users make to protect their precious M body & lens.
While not uncommon a DIYOO with such 【neat 】interior & lower half is not an easy find.
This one is well worth the investment.
