The birthplace of Sakyamuni was Kapilavastu in ancient India.
His father was the king of Kapilavastu, his surname was Gautama, and his name was Southudana, which in Chinese is translated as King Suddhodana.

This wood statue is from Bali of Indonesia in and about the 60s.
