Benz Patent-Motorwagen - The World's First Automobile 137 years ago
Carl Benz realized his revolutionary vision for a new type transportation
with the Patent Motor Coach, a three-wheeled vehicle with a rear-mounted engine.
In 1886 this "Vehicle with petrol engine drive" was filed under
Patent Number 37435 at the Berlin Patent Office on January 29th,
which nowadays is considered the birthday of automobile.
在1885年，德國一名機械工程師Carl Benz 卡爾本茨創造世上第一輪三輪後置引擎汽車。
其太太波塔本茨為支持丈夫親自摸索駕車技巧及在途中提議修改機械操控，遠駕該車190多公里回娘家、創下人類史上駕車第一人、留名史册，該車現保存在司徒加特平治博物館內。
1886年1月29日，卡爾本茨在遞交申請專利登記編號為37435、為現今汽車寫下𧩙生曰期。
該車裝有臥置單缸四沖程汽油發動機、785cc容積0.89匹馬力、每小時行走15公里、該車巳具備了現代汽車的基本特點、如電點火水冷循環、鋼管車身鋼板彈簧縣掛、後輪驅動前輪轉向和掣動手把等。其齒輪齒絛轉向器是現代汽車轉向器的鼻祖。
