Leica 12586 is a reversible, vented lens hood designed specifically for certain Leica M-mount 50mm f/1.4 lenses. It threads onto the front of the lens (typically over a 43mm filter thread) and can be flipped around for storage.
Compatible Lenses
Based on Leica's specifications and accessory guides, it fits these models:

Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 (first version, 1959–1968): The original rigid-mount version (code #11114).
Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 II (1968–1994): The updated version with improved optics (code #11212 or similar).

It was produced from 1966 to 1995 and includes a dedicated cap (Leica #14037). Note that it may not fit newer aspherical versions like the APO-Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 (2012–present), which use different hoods such as #14862.
