From its larger CCD size, it could be 50% bigger and heavier than the FZ1.
By the way, anyone knows why it is not named as FZ3 or FZ4? Will Panasonic release another DC with 3MP but smaller and lighter and call it FZ3?

To Honourable Braveheart and Borischk,
I couldn't wait anymore for FZ2 and hurriedly self-gratified by buying an OM C-750 three weeks ago. Well, so far so good.
It is so exciting to know that there will be an FZ10!! (while I am still looking for users comment on FZ2)
That FZ10 sounds perfect to me - more than enough CCD pixels, A/S/M modes and ... hot-shoe !!!! (in addition to Leica lens and image stabilizer)
I think I will buy it after Lunar New Year - after the expected heated rush of people.
Thanks again for the previous advice. I took it and have just made a future decision.

fz10 contains an ED lens, it is not a usual small ED lens behind lens elements, it is a front side ED lens, i guess all incident rays can be reserved.
the focal range is still 35-420mm
the samples shown are quite noisy.
there is a manual focus selector at the LHS of the lens unit, enabling it, we can use the focus ring on the lens unit to adjust the focus, at the same time the LCD display the subject you want to focus.
