Still refuse to use image editor to take away the background and still keep on trying to use a shadow depth of field to achieve the desired result.
A sub-HK$1000 digital camera has good enough electronics but its lens is just not good enough to shot flowers. The maximum aperture (f/3 (W) to f/5.6 (T), coupled with small focal lengths) is just too small to make the depth of field shadow enough.
The 5 years old HK$1800 digital camera of my friend, which has a smaller image sensor, much lower resolution, and much fewer functions than my camera, is actually better for shooting flowers because of its better lens.
The price and quality of lens will be improved so slowly that sub-HK$1000 digital cameras will still not be good enough for shooting flowers in next few years.
