優點:
- Great picture quality
- Very usable (as in manual focus) viewfinder despite the fact that it is mirror based. I didn't notice any significant degrade when switching between 100d and Nikon's D200.
- Support metering to all legacy lenses, unlike Nikon's. Though I wish Pentax would offer an “auto-green button” function that saves us the trouble of additional button pressing all together.
- Small sized without sacrificing overall handling.
- Use RCR-V3 battery, and K100d will run seemingly forever. Much better than using NiHM AAs.
- Excellent selections of “classy” prime lenses, an ultimate Pentax exclusive strength

缺點:
- Need to drill down the menu in order to adjust metering mode/image quality. ISO/WB adjustments are initiated via the directional buttons, which save you a few keystrokes, but still inferior to Nikon's approach. The dated D70 has far better controls.
- Comparable AF speed with D70 with normal AF lenses, which isn't bad, but considerably slower and much nosier than lenses with sonic motors (what I would consider as today's standard).
- Rather slow read/write speed, though they shouldn’t be an obstacle for general applications.
- SR is unimpressive (maybe I am spoiled by Nikon’s VR).
- Metering is not as sophisticated as Nikon's. I found myself adjusting the EV and remade the same shot a lot more frequent when using K100d
- Pentax's system as a whole really lacks viable telephoto options

1) 用AA電 , 方便.
2) 手感好 , 因為較重 , 可以拿得更穩定 , 很少有手震相出現
3) 跟兩支鏡 , 質素亦不俗
4) CCD 夠光夠靚 , 內置閃燈火力OK , 好慳電

5) LCD 用了不久已入了兩粒塵 .....
6) 外閃選擇只有兩款 , 而且很貴 , 鏡頭選擇亦少
