1)It has a good color for portrait. This DSLR output a very good looking skin tone. It is the power of the Super CCD
2)Big Dynamic Range, make its RAW file good for photoshop to fix the over/under exposure
3)Very precise Auto White Balance. As I known Nikon make a very good RBG light meter although, but the Nikon DSLR cannot pick the good value of Kelvin for its user when using Auto White Balance.
...so even Canon DSLR light meter measure only one color, it still can get a good Kelvin value. It is not about the meter, it is about the software. S5 Pro is doing very good in AWB.
4)Most of the parts can be support by Nikon accessories. F-mount lens, Battery Grip, Flash light....etc. Very convenient to the user - I think more convenient than using Sony things. Easy to get proper accessories is the advantage of using big brands system (Canon EOS/Nikon F)
5)2nd hand price is good and consistent. As D200 is still on $4K level, I think S5 Pro on $5K level is reasonable. Don't forget there is much more D200 available in market than S5 Pro
6) As most of the body is using Nikon D200 parts, It is very very durable & reliable. Also control is good as D200 and even D300.

1) When S5 Pro just out, it is already in the time of using 10MP CMOS/CCD or more. Resolution of S5 Pro only has 6MP is out-dated. The 12MP output is only playing the digital trick, & it just waste your memory space with nothing better.
2)It is okay for me to shoot it with a slow shooting rate (3 pics / sec). But the RAW saving time is very slow makes it harder to use. Data Transfer speed must think of the size of the RAW film on this machine. My Compact DC also do 20MB RAW file - as big as S5 PRO RAW - but it can save file faster than S5 Pro.
3)The rubber cover will move when this DSLR used for long time. In my case the front-right rubber cover where my right hand griping is moved to a position that makes me turn the front dial with trouble (Friction)
4)From the Menu of this DSLR although we got enough control, the words it using is quite poor - somehow may mislead you also.
5)Film simulation mode is only playing trick on changing Sharpness/Saturation/Contrast. I think Canon picture Style do much better than it.
6)400%Dynamic Range will make the photo look "Grey" overall. It is good for portrait but not for Landscape.

As I see 2 very short reviews of this DSLR beloved by me, I think it is time for me to give a review for it. Since S5 Pro is special for me, so long I'm not dare to make a review.
I have to specially thanks to the Ching give me a first deal from DCFEVER. If he doesn't mention the S5 Pro when he sold me the D70s, I'm very likely to miss S5 Pro.
Overall, I think I will use this DSLR for very very long time, even I'm planing to buy D400/D7000 in the future. Although I wrote more disadvantages than advantages, I still think this DSLR is a very good option for most of the amateur user.
Reason: It is not only do good in Color (Tone & Auto White Balance), it also do good in Dynamic Range. That's make the photo can show more exposure level than many other DSLR.
However, if you interesting in this DSLR, you have to aware that no more offical maintenance will support by HK Fujifilm customer service. They will ship your S5 Pro to japan to do with it. Of course, shipping charges will be paid by the owner(I mean you~) instead of Fujifilm.
Please carefully consider the good/risk when you buy this as used. In my opinion although its cost is good for beginner, I don't think it is good for beginner to rely on. Because beginner mostly only carry one DSLR. If the only one is S5 Pro, you have to pay more to repair it - most important is it takes long time for shipping back/forth to Japan. I still suggest beginner buy beginner level DSLR available in 1st-hand market with good factory support~
Even thinking of the used, buy something that HK customer service can repair locally. With the same looking, D200 is much better supported than S5 Pro. I think EOS 40D is a good one also on Canon side.
If you are already a Nikon User, take a try on S5 Pro is fun as a gear player. Fujifilm really has done something special.

優點:
D200金屬機身.紮實.手感一流.顏色自然.很正的富士色.本身係nikon用家.蛇5可用番nikon的鏡頭同配件.亦係我買此機的一大因素.全新只是$6........本人覺得這樣的質數真係完全超值!
缺點:
慢 但絕不介意.lcd像素不夠.顯示出來同電腦上顯示的有一段距離.很食卡用最高輸出16gb卡只可影到5佰多張相.長線旅行要係儲存上作好準備.否則絕不夠用.你會好後悔.但普通輸出是夠用的.重加了直倒同2舊電都幾重手.如你不用直倒的話.以上就唔係缺點!

其實我一直都很鐘意nikond200但d200的直紋一直係我本人心內揮之不去.當富士用上d200機身後再加上無敵ccd簡直係一個完美配合.不用孝慮.即刻過大海買.因為而家想買一部2手可能有小小難度.更何況是新機.因為真係一部好機!值得珍擁有!
