優點:
Light, simple (AV,TV mode is used most by myself, M and Auto modes i hardly use.
I can setup, compose and shoot in far less time ..no need to wait and fiddle around with buttons and dials.
It is very durable - used on 6-7 holidays, outside, mountain biking, climbing and indoors..working perfectly till this day after 15000+ photos.

缺點:
Not enough ISO settings - if set to highlight tone optimization only 200, 400, 800 and 1600
I use a 1.4 lens and hardly use 1600 indoors.
1600 ISO is noisy..sometimes it can be a good thing!

Used since 2008 August.
Was a user of prosumer cameras but changed to 450D because it gave flexibility of changing lenses and i did not need video in a camera. (Why do you need video in a SLR? - Just get a video camera to a better job).
Got a few lenses for this and still use the kit lens (18-55 IS USM) for occasions when i don;t care if i damage the lens. Brought the battery pack and hand strap to make it more useable in the vertical position.
Battery is excellent - over a day of shooting and still power left.
If you can use this camera's function to the fullest, which i doubt most people will, it is more than enough. I can upgrade to 7D but do not need the functions for my "weekend" warrior shooting. The quality is in the person and then lens and finally the body.
Can use the picture style editor to make some interesting pictures.
A bit dated in technology compared to the latest 2010/2011 models , but hey, it's over 2.5 years since launch. Digic 3 vs. Digic 4.
