The autofocus (TTL) for this photo was highly accurate and sharp to produce an excellent image quality. The lens of this Olympus CAMEDIA X-1 has been world-renowned and outstanding in its class of 4.3 effective mega pixels. I have been significantly satisfied with this digital camera model. Professional references on Olympus digital camera models can be obtained from the Choice Magazine (17 February 2003 issue) of the Consumer Council of Hong Kong, and it is strongly recommended that Olympus digital products offer the best-value-for-money!!! Great examples include C-50Z (comparable with Nikon CoolPix 5700 and Sony CyberShot DSC-F717); C-4000 (comparable with Nikon CoolPix 4500; Canon PowerShot S45 and Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC40)



While being fully appreciative at this Olympus CAMEDIA X-1 digital camera in aspects of its speed in recording and reading images by means of xD-Picture Card as memory card; its high portability and durability because of its small, compact and all-metal body design; and its superb user-friendliness due to full instructions on the LCD display screen.



I recall my traumatic life experience with Canon PowerShot A-series digital camera models that use CompactFlash Card as recording medium: I was an international traveller in Osaka, Japan and tried to capture landscape pictures on occasion of my invited visit to the worldly famous floral exhibition there. I was delayed noticeably when taking consecutive shots and the scenes were changed in style in short time. The use of CompactFlash Card brought about much technical inconvenience to me. Though the image quality of Canon PowerShot A-series models is very nice too, their sizes and weights are not convenient to carry outdoors for long time. Moreover, they are too high-energy-consuming for daily use, especially when built-in flash is used simultaneously with LCD display!!! Now I turn to using Olympus digital products, and find them highly economical because of their best-value-for-money across different classes of mega pixels, very beneficial because of the long-lasting battery life, and most importantly, psychologically more gratifying and enjoyable.
