Offered here is a less seen coated version Summar with uncommon Purple coating.
- Condition:
1. Optically well above average, esp. in terms of glass clarity. All coating intact with typical cleansing marks on Ele. #1.
2. Mechanically butter smooth.
3. Lens serviced by ROLLEICA, incl. reaseembly of 12 aperture blades & infinity lock. Now crisp & snappy, a joy to use! Nice patina.
Internal elements were also cleansing by him with special lens tissue he found in England.
4. Aperture jam is a common issue for Summar due to its 12 blades of 2 different shapes. Aperture blades reassembling is a night mare even for Leitz staff in 1930's. But ROLLEICA did it. This work took him 2 hours, as the deformation (common with Summar's blades) much increased the difficulty.
5. The calibration itself cost HK$500, but quite worthwhile for this gem.
- Performance & Test Shots
1. After calibration, this Summar is incredibly sharp! See ROLLEICA's test shots with M11.
2. Color saturation & unique bokeh also quite startling!
3. Perfect for your Leica M11 or Monochrome.
- Price
HK$ 3300, very very buyer-friendly price.
