Not going to mention some obvious advantages based on specifications like HD movie , frame rate, face detection in Live view etc,
Only wish to express some feeling after using as a experienced Nikon User.
The user interface of this Camera is very user friendly
Better than D300
Excellent user interface, easy to change camera settings on the info screen by little joystick and Dial(Very useful)
Live view operation as convenient as prosumer camera
Resolution of 18Megapixel is really much better than 12M of D300, good high iso performance at such small pixel
In backlite situation, exposure for the subject is excellent without fill in speedlight when use evaluative metering
IS performance of 15-85 is better than VR of 18-200 in Nikon. and 15-85 is a very sharp lens
Photoreview is more convenient, for example you can sort by date while Nikon cannot
About the same as D300

Auto focus in terms of speed and accuracy is about the same as D300 when using single point in the centre
Auto Lighting optimizer performs very well in complicated Lighting environment, which is called ADR in Nikon

Focus tracking for moving object is still inferior than D300
D300 focusing system is still better but Canon is very very close
Although flash exposure has improved a lot which was poor for the 40D but Nikon is still better in this aspect

I am a Nikon users for many years, not mentioning film cameras. Have used almost all generations of Nikon DSLR from D70, D200, D300 to D700. Now sitll have D700, D60 body and many Nikon lens.Have used D300 for almost 2 years. Have own Canon 40D before but sold it after half years, since I think 40D was inferior to Nikon in every aspect except skin tone in Potrait photography. Always think that there are good Canon lens but no good Canon cameras.
This 7D is really a big suprise for me, I like this camera very very much and from now on I will bring it with the 15-85 lens for vacation to replace my D300 with 18-200 I used before.
This does not imply I switch from Nikon to Canon , I still use D700 with 24-70 f2.8 lens for serious photography but at least this is the first time I think that Canon is also worth keeping. I will buy more Canon lens and pay more attention to Canon new models in the future and WILL NOT change my member's login to CanonHo!

昨日去玩了一陣了,對焦同50d差不多,唔夠5dm2快準, 係連拍真係快,
控制上和一般50d 5dm2 大致相同,重量都有返咁上下,
主要係多左電子水平,同格線,vf大左dd
係佢拍野功能係出色,影相方面唔係想像中咁強.

優點:
好快, 19點對焦準成度都幾好, 失焦少於20%還有進步空間
缺點:
white balance 偏白, 同過往Canon有明顯分別不太習慣, ISO3200放大有明顯Noise

50Dup上, 用7D同50D放在一起外型根本無分別, 手柄位無5D2咁厚無咁好手感, Canon字不是和1系及5系直頭design, 橫睇掂睇都是一部50D外觀, 但都幾墜手, 相片Auto White Balance都係偏白, 所以令色彩還原道大打折扣, 要慢慢fine tune

優點:
對焦快、狠及準, 色彩鮮而不誇, 對比下感覺手感好過5DII, 不計它是 FF 機。
缺點:
對焦雖快, 但功能太多, 不能一時間適應, 手動對焦點不知如何SET, 雖然只試玩過一次, 如果買這部機, 真需要細看說明書...
評價:
一部不錯的機, 如果用家有心轉機, 這部是不昔的選擇, 但本人是用50D, 感覺50D 轉7D 就不值了。功能差無幾, 但價錢就多數千, 數千的差額不如儲起來, 待數年後再多5DII 的後繼機還好, 意思上我不是說7D 不好, 它真的好好, 只是對我來說作用就不大。小弟如有得罪, 多多包涵！
