我係400D加1000銀入18-55 IS當wide angle用, 開始都OK, 不過用咗6個月既時候塊電路板竟然可以....氧化?? focus唔到搞到要入CS, 好彩保養都包

1/ IS is very powerful, the picture image is still sharp when exposure time is as short as 1/5s
2/ Light weight
3/ Can take a picture in a very short distance, as close as 0.25M. Can be used as macro lens.
4/ Less expensive, you can find it around HKD700 in second hand market.

1/ Flare resistance is poor, a lot of bright spots appear on picture when camera faced to the light source.

I bought it together with my 450D. Its performance largely exceed my expectation at such a low price value. It can give a very sharp picture from corner to corner when aperture set to f/8 to f/11. In addition, when you put a close up filter on the lens, its close up function perhaps can be comparable with the professional close up lens. Its light weight is one of best advantages, put together with 450D the total weight should be less than a kilogram . After all it is a very good walk around lens,

Kit Lens 跟隨450D 出機, Zoom 範圍18-55mm不太夠用, 增至18-75mm會方便好多. 用後感覺色彩太柔和; 成像都是一般水準, 外型唔靚. 膠質感太重. 馬達聲音就見仁見智, 有人覺得很大聲, 但我就很接受. 防震功能在晚上很受用, 在一般爪拍都很方便. 跟機Kit lens有這設備算不錯了, 不可太大要求. 不過要求高者便需另找角色了.

作為一支kit鏡，這確是實用之選。尤其對於像本人一樣的新手，對構圖的掌握及熟習機身的運用亦有很大的幫助。加上重量確實是非常輕，作旅行之用為不俗之選。惟對焦較慢，容易錯失珍貴的時刻，於昏暗的環境成象差。但以這樣的價錢，已經是交足功課有餘了，總的來說，可作為升級之前的必備鏡。
