1. Only the latest Malaysian version of ROM supports Wifi sharing. It fixes Wifi Auto-Disconnect problem in my phone. Now, it works like a charm.
2. Hard to find all the accessories.
3. Battery is the main problem. Cannot stand a day if I use it for 3G, Wifi and talk a lot.

No other phone can compete in this price point. But it is not for the 1st time Android owner. Everything needs to be customised on your own. Update rom to the latest Malaysian version and I have Wifi sharing now and fixed the notorious wifi auto-disconnect problem.
The screen looks very nice and RAM is good enough for 40+ apps. Now, I am waiting for the 2.3 upgrade from Huawei.

1. General operability/speed is almost perfect (no drags no lags) for an impetuous guy like me!
The Moto XT701 does no come close on this point (even it is overclocked to 1GHz)
2. The 3.8” display size just works comfortably for me (4” can be better!)
3. Virtually did not encounter problem on WIFI and 3G-data connection or instability, for use of 2 weeks.
4. 3D game performance is just amazingly great!
5. Finally bought, in Shenzhen 华强北, a 3rd-party battery (mainland brand called Scud 飞毛腿) as backup purpose. This Scud battery runs okay so far.
The Moto XT701 does no come close on this point (even it is overclocked to 1GHz)

a. The Bluetooth connectivity strength is inferior to MOTO XT701 (Moto still has better BT connectivity)
b. The phone antenna signal status is not updated very timely (a little bit strange to me indeed, not sure if this is V2.2.1, or IDEOS X5 or SmarTxxe issue, or a mix of all?!)
c. Improved music/song sound quality by plugging a Sony MDR-EX510 earphone to the Sony DRC-BT60 BT hand-free (previously I used MDR-EX300 earphone come with DRC-BT60. The BT60 is so far the best BT hand-free for good music I’ve ever experienced!)

A. Better to use either the LancherPro or the SE Xperia ARC launchers (fixed for 480x800 pixels), then the overall operation speed is smooth!

Yet, if someone changes phone every 3 months or so, then use phones with better re-selling value (like HTC, or SE or Samsung or iPhone?!)

由IPHONE轉過來，感覺流畅，絕對不比ＳＡＭＳＵＮＧ啲高皆機，ＭＯＮ不錯，手機大小剛好～！

已呢個價錢，絕對超值。須然牌子唔出名，但就算用大牌都好，價錢同質素唔成正比，都會覺得唔底，如果你係想買入門機，呢部係不錯選擇

1. $ 2880*0.9 = $2592 is a good offer by "SmarTxxx" as I am heavy user. Free 4GB card
2. Good balance of weight and hand-feel and display size and resolution
3. Huawei provided a connection suite called Hi-suite, for X5, which manages SMS, contact, etc. Good!
4. The 800 MHz Scorpion processor, Adreno 205 GPU, Qualcomm MSM 7230 chipset provided good benchmarking, >32mFlops, ~1400 points @ Qunadrant, and 45 fps @ Neocore, which is much much faster than my XT701. Now can play lots of 3D games, including the AirAttack HD!!!
5. Phone voice quality pretty okay, yet Moto CrystalTalk still the best, in my opinion!
6. OS 2.2 Froyo seems much better and faster than 2.1 (on XT701), maybe the h/w on X5 plays important part.
7. Battery life is also pretty OK. Just still difficult to find 2nd battery at the moment.
8. The display panel looks good to me (yet can only compare with XT701).
9. "我是二少 " Ching must be a power user, as he is right about the ROM/RAM size on X5, which is indeed very much sufficient for current use (considering X5 is at $2880 at full price).
10. Photo saving and opening (updating in the 3D album) is now much faster than my XT701. Generic phone response is just obviously faster.

2. so far, the feeling of using X5 is just decent and comfortable.
3. Only slight about the longer-term reliability for the hand-set, because it takes time to have this point tested! Yet, since Huawei had been co-working with Moto for quite a while, i bet it won't too much an issue!
4. Simply love X5 for the moment! A good deal indeed!
