優點:
1) cheap, 1580@Fortxxxx with 2x4GB SD and valued pack (screen protector, ...)
2) HD720p@30fps video for 29min and non-HD for 80min (for other Casio and Lumix, it could takes 10min or 2GB respectively, even Casio claims it could take video with lengths depending on its SD memory, test result still has 10min)
3) can use mini-usb to charge the DC
4) it has Smart Capture (automatically decide the picture mode), very good for my wife or children (4yrs old) to use. Personally, I am still finding the way to disable it...
缺點:
1) No battery indicator (very poor design), only low battery indicator
2) Battery seems NOT long lasting, no CIPA information
3) Startup SO SLOW (pressing the ON button, it takes more than 5 secs to start up, always LOADING, Casio just takes 1-2 secs to start up...)... Don't think to take SNAPSHOT...
4) When reviewing the photos or videos, u need to start the DC (lens is extending) and then press Play button. During playing the photos or videos, lens is still extending... For Casio, users could just press the Play button to review the photos or videos (without extend the lens..., better design than Kodak)...
5) When taking HD720p, it takes 2-3 sec to get stable video quality (when reviewing in PC)...
6) Speaker volume of the DC is very very low, really can't hear the sound. After loading to PC, the sound is ok.
7) Video is of quicktime format, besides the Apple quicktime in PC, other DVD player or Wii with SD card reader cannot play the video... may need conversion
8) Manual does not show the detail menu function, just show the features/buttons...
評價:
Need to buy a DC that could also take video, to replace my ex-Casio Z600 which was out of service (overexposed when taking photos, last repair of same problem caused 1600). After trying Casio Z400(@27XX) and Panasonic Lumix FX580(@3XXX), they could only take videos with limit of 10min (720p@24fps) and 2GB (720p@30fps), etc. After then, just bought Kodak M1093IS(@1580),please see the pros and cons.
Since it is 1580, I don't expect too much from it, however, it seems that Kodak should take reference with other competitors to improve functionalities of Kodak DCs...
