優點:
- Super fast AF
- I try bringing it out on rainy (my body all wet after 10 mins) day no problem
- ISO 6400 still usable, 1600 and 3200 pretty good
- Color better then my normal Sony lens but not better then my Zeiss 16-80
- Much lighter gear compare to my Sony A55 + 1680. With my 減磅帶 feels like nothing
- Great look
- Good Customer Support (I post question on DC Fever and Tech support of Olympus HK, I got a call in 1 hours from CS answering my question about camera setting. Never got a call back from Sony)
- Good Battery life compare to my A55
- Kit lens good value 12-50 (25-100), Water resistance, In body focus, Marco
- Great value only 11k HKD
- Great picture quality
- IS CRAZY good hand held 1/3 still no problem. In Sony 1/7 I start seeing burry photos
- Great build quality
- Have battery grip option- but a bit pricy 2k HKD
- I feel the EVF quality is better then Sony
缺點:
Nothing serious, just being picky
- Cannot flip screen so cannot take photo of myself
- No Zeiss lens T.T Hope Zeiss will really make M4/3 lens soon! Will need to try Panasonic Leica Lens one day haha
- Do not have "What you see is what you get" EVF or Live View, only flash aperture to tell you under expose (I have this function in Sony A55)
- Flash not build in
- Lowest ISO only 200, but 200 ISO is comparable to Sony A55 ISO 100
- Kit lens too long, if can shorter will be great!
- Kit lens Aperture is 3.5-6.4... if is 2.8 will be perfect
- I use DSLR before and I prefer seeing all the focus points. This system do not have it
- Menu UI a bit confusing

My experience with photography is pretty limited. My first DSLR is Sony A55 when it launch so I only have 2-3 years under my belt. My camera mostly is for capture my dog, wife and family. I personally like to take scenery photos too. I will not claim to be a hardcore users and I never use PS. At most is iPhoto one click fix or some very tiny adjustment here and there.
Over time my Sony A55 with a 16-80 and 42FLASH becomes a burden for me and I begin to take lesser photos over time. Also because I shoot a lot in door low light or artificial light performance becomes very important to me. Also A55 is a bit too small and I cannot have a full grip of the camera. A55 do not have battery grip. I start hunting for a new gear set up since Jan this year. So I set a few parameters for my new set up:
1. Light set up
2. Better grip
3. Have a lens that is affordable (within 7k HKD that can cover my daily need)
4. Good ISO and Low Light performance
5. Need to have as Fast or better AF for my dog and soon coming baby
6. Optional: Can use my old equipment
I first lay my eye on A77 because it meets: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. However is even heavier so I decide to wait. Also I was thinking if I change from A55 to another Sony SLT series might as well wait for A99 and see what is it.
Second options I consider was Sony NEX-7 I play with it hours in the show room. It meets 1, 3, 4, 5, 6. I know chances of NEX-7 have battery grip is slim and the handling I find it not good for me. Although it can use old Sony Alpha lens but if I attach the lens converter it will break pt. 1 for me. 18-55 is not good enough of a range for me. I need something that can cover like 16-80. But I was pretty much leaning to get it. I was planning to get it in 2 weeks time...
During that 2 week my friend show me his Pen 3 and I was pretty impress but I feel NEX-7 is still better in performance. So my friend told me I should look at OM-D. OM-D meets every thing I want so I jumped straight in a sold my Sony gear! When I sold my Sony gear I was a bit anxious as I was like I should buy OM-D first and if OM-D is good then sell Sony gears but I didn't think it through.
After fews days of using the OM-D I am pretty confident to say it was a good call and I have no regret (I still miss using Zeiss and the see what you get function) but nothing that makes me want to hit myself on the decision I made. Is a good camera and I think anyone who is consider to invest in a DSLR should really look at OM-D.
