評價:
A modern mirrorless camera with faster AF, extensive video capture functions for the beginners. Technically it could be seen as "M50" in larger size while incorporated some features that make it favorable.
In short, what makes the R50 stand-out is its ability to take HEIC images, which in theory should offer better IQ in terms of DR, colour-depth and preserve finer details at smaller file size. Another important feature is it finally allows battery charging via USB-C. Furthermore, its firmware has evolved to allow accurate AF, better JPG quality which is quite noticeable after months of use.
However, for those who are expecting groundbreaking experience in camera handling, the R50 might be a disappointment. Due to its bulkier size and the lack of control dials, the camera does not offer the same degree of control like on some enthusiast camera models. I might go as far as saying the R50 is a rather boring device to operate.
In summary, the R50 could be great tools for content producers, casual hybrid users and travel photography. It also takes great pictures and produces decent videos by default. But to hobbyists or enthusiasts, who demand tactile controls on image output, the R50 might not be a viable choice.
