Handling is good and fits my hand, the case specially designed for G7 is handsome and well-made. The dial and multi-direction selector on the back of the computer are a bit small but function very well.



AF is fast and accurate, face detection by and large does it job. I found its ISO 400 noise level ok. I am confident with its AWB and colour rendition is good and faithful. Long battery life serves me well.



I like to use it with external flash and G7 works seamlessly with 430EX, and balances well. Images taken with external flash are on a par with DSLR.



IS works but not very spectacular.

Image lacks detail, very often hair appears as a large black patch. It has week dynamic range, often face highlight problem, I wouldn't mind to lose some MP to get dynamic range. I really wish the zoom starts at 28mm and I wish I can get earlier warnings before the battery dies. No RAW or interval picture taking? Why?

I was very hesitant to buy it at first and competitor's offerings were equally strong on paper, but now I am glad I have it with me all the time, not missing any single opportunity to take good photos. I never had any G-series before, and I am very satisfied with G7. I guess other users trying to compare it with old Gs should not limit themselves to experience the strength of it. Nor they should use the old mindset to evaluate G7 because no one makes prosumer DC with fast lens now.

I would recommend people to buy it if it is cheaper.

I use it happy-go-luckily, and so far I have no problem with dust yet.

I just got a new G7, but the LCD 不停閃 & 不穩定.

Just a new camera and cannot try, so no comment but already have bad feeling.
I need to take back to customer servise today to see will they exchange a new one for me as I buy from discount price.

G7的功能我很滿意，係一部好機。

正機一部，反應超快、成像靚已經足以吸引我；但要扣分0既
地方就係鏡頭易吸塵同埋個 IS 唔多掂。

Drop test from 1 meter to concrete, bang..bang.. Case scratch, still works fine, no problem!

Little difficult to grip.

黑色金屬機身個LOOK好PRO，有手動操作，亦可加閃燈作補光

無得影RAW，個Screen轉唔到，這兩個都係最大缺點，另外電池不夠長久，話無就無，無後備電就好快無得玩

好好天玩G7可影到好SHARP相片(ISO要set到最細)，效果接近單鏡數碼，但唔多好天影，雜訊明顯加強

較先前的G系機扁身，易於攜帶和收藏。

開機速度反應快，對焦準確，影像sharp。

1cm微距的表現極好！ (我影玩具和小動物多)

十分user friendly。

高ISO的表現不俗。

無Rotate Mon。 光圈也不夠大。 (最是令人失望)

35mm不夠wide。

不 support 420EX 閃光燈。

Face Detection的表現有點不穩定。

無電量顯示，感覺上好像耗電速度較先前的G系機快。

感覺十分好。如2.5"mon可以rotate+2.0(或更大)光圈的話，就可謂是部完美旗艦級prosumer機！

對於常拍生活照的我，G7的功能已讓我很滿意。
還記得我的第一部相機就是 G5，當年選 canon G系的原因是扭 Mon和 2.0 光圈，現在G7 已沒有這兩樣東西。(失望)
