優點:
This is the cheapest and easiest to user DSLR so far. I've struggle for long time to change from FM2 to DSLR. This is the first cam I selected. So for, its perform good then I expected :). Especially when I using those F lens, the color and sharpness can keep there.
缺點:
I do a lot of modification in this camera as I want to reuse all my F lens. The difficulties when using F lens is as following.
1. no light meter, I can only use "my eyes" to do adjustment
2. no AF, so, I need to change the focusing screen to split screen. It cost around HKD $350
3. no program can be used, only "Manual" mode can be selected

First of all, there is no vendor will create "Digital Film" any more. So, your FM2 can be packed under your bed :D
If u are just like me to change from FM2 to DSLR, you can take D40 as the entry level to test whether u r get used to digital world first. D40 is a good entry machine for u to enter digital world photographing.

無regret買左佢....作為一個連CHECK機都唔識的新手..我只係要求耐用,d 相QUALITY好過DC, 可以在它身上學到野.... 以上幾樣D40都幫到我...加上價錢平... 我會recommend新手買

咁既價單鏡機黎講絕對超值，之前諗過買Canon 400D，但聽講支kit鏡無D40咁好，總括黎講呢部D40新手既我黎講絕對超值，買完用過後覺得無後悔！

- i try pentax K100D super, it was very good too.
but I pick D40 finally,

kit 鏡玩兩玩真係唔夠用，搞到我心郁郁想換支長Ｄ。但買左又覺得好似浪費左呢支，唔知點好！所以建議買時都係加多Ｄ錢，換支18-135mm，咁就唔駛浪費支KIT 鏡

其實對於我呢D新仔黎講仲有乜好要求呀！貪佢平係最重要既一環。又唔需要太大既萬象，610黎講其實已經好夠用。雖然呢部機能換鏡既選擇真係唔多，但對於新仔黎講已夠我地玩。重要既係出黎效果真係唔錯。平平地玩住先，我覺得呢部都算係唔錯既選擇。
優點:
平!!! 半專業機價錢,買到高質素的Nikon DSLR, 一句講哂超值。影像細緻, kit 鏡雖然得18-55mm, 但平時出街影相已經足夠, 比起400D支KIT鏡成鏡靚好多。手感一流,雖然細部左D,但夠哂輕便,出街最方便。電池幾堅,用幾日都唔洗充電,總之一句講哂,咁既價錢有咁高質素,超值之選!!!
缺點:
不支援直倒, 不支援舊鏡, 得600萬像, 但坦白講句, 電量足何需直倒, 新手那有舊鏡, 有幾可用到1000萬像(平D40X成千蚊,聰明的朋友應該識得選擇)
