I have LC1, FX100, F100fd as well as this FX36
The small and compact size of the dc give you a feel of lightweight while carrying on.
The ultra-wide 25mm with less distortion then F100fd of Fuji sure can give pleasant landscape photo.
However, when taken indoor photos, it seems that the small size of CCD with 10 milion pixel cannot give good pictures which is either red and underexposed without flash and overexposed picture with flash.
I have tried to take photos several times in order to get only one normal good picture. The successful rate is not so good.
Therefore that is the main reason to buy ccd of larger size i.e. 1/1.6.
In comparision with FX100 which I bought one year ago, every one is pleased with the indoor picture and distortion free wide angle lens. This is the reason why FX100 is more expensive. My friend whoch borrow FX100 keep on praising this camera and finally she bought FX180 which is more powerful and more trustful.
In return, this camera is good only at sunlight. But we should forgive this since its small CCD and hope that the forthcoming FX48 can do better.
When comparing the noise with other larger CCD is not fair. I would recommend other guys to buy FX180 as well as LX3.

好奇怪，舊機SONY W1拍短片時有得ZOOM ，FX36是新機，反而無得ZOOM

大致上反應夠快，操作容易，幾有速度感。
拍短片都唔錯，很清晰，而且很穩定。

室內光暗較難掌握，有甚麽地方要注意呢??

- 有時齋用 mon 睇相好似好 sharp, 但入到電腦就會發現原來暗左. 所以影相時最好開 histogram 睇下個光暗度.

我原本是用 Panasonic DMC-FX07 的, 因為摔壞了所以買了 FX36.
FX-36是FX-07的進化版, 外型更 Slim 更薄更輕, 功能上有優勝既地方: 例如 iA 模式, 人面偵測.
不過我都係鐘意 FX07..... 因為我隻手適應左 FX07 既機身大小同埋操作方式 (例如按下鍵可以快速檢視圖片, 而家用另一個掣調較拍攝及檢視模式), 所以拎起新機有D唔習慣.
如果你喜歡用又輕又slim既全自動傻瓜機作 snapshot, 我會向你推薦呢部機.
否則.... 你都係買其他型號既機啦.

The whole reason for buying this camera was to have something pocketable on top of my EOS dSLR. Out of all the other consumer cams out there, here's what the FX36 kills
2. 25mm wide lens, which would have cost ~>$3000 on its own. Useful or group photos, architectural and landscape photos... or when you have someone random to hold the camera for you.
3. having high ISO and O.I.S, reduces the need for using xenon flash; that means less blinking photos and fat photos.
4. semi-auto low light compensation, virtually widens the dynamic range (with some extra noise and extra processing time, of course), but very useful- less dark faces when you have a bright source behind your back (and when you just hate to use the flash)
5. acceptable noise level at iso400. For this camera size, this price, this sensor size, I would not complain. iso800 is still okay for 3R print if you took it at 10MP. You can always "hide" the noise by shrinking the picture if you are lazy (3MP is still very usable), or use photoshop... I would prefer noisy-sharp photos over blurry-clean photos

1. ~$800 cheaper
2. focus speed is faster (try for yourself at the shop)
3. smaller, since I wanted to buy a pocketable camera on top of m dSLR
4. battery lasts longer with the smaller screen
5. more colors to choose from
All in all, I'm very satisfied with this camera, minor set-backs are listed below.
