Keller's 2019 Kirchspiel Riesling GG opens puristic and chalky on the nose with lemon oil and woodruff aromas. Juicy, round and rich on the palate, with smooth suppleness, fine tannins and a stimulating kick on the finish, this is a less puristic but juicy and intense Riesling of great class. - Stephan Reinhardt, Apr. 2021

All in tank. Very little topsoil – 20 cm – over limestone. Tank sample.
Tasted blind. Herbal purity and delicacy on the nose, the spontaneous-fermentation effect much less evident than on the Morstein. Underneath the slight smoky note is citrus and clementine. Tight, pure and zesty citrus on the palate, mouth-watering grapefruit, sour-citrus purity and still that delicate herbal character of Kirchspiel. Clean-cut, so dry, tight. More intense than in some vintages but still has the delicacy that is typical of this vineyard. Pure limey citrus on the long, long finish.
