優點:
1. 2代比1代輕
2. 比GM輕, SHARP質素相約.
3. Sony FE 70-200mm F4 Macro G II 90分. 但GM 99分.

缺點:
1. 缺F2.8, 室內拍照, 很容易觀察到Noise. 不過, 70-200 好少室內用, 所以缺點不明顥. 室內Concert, 大部分舞台打光足夠, 不需F2.8. 所以F4好足够.
2. 高速運動題材, 有弱點, F4是差的.

評價:
1. Sony 100-400 由 F4.5開始, 並且常用於運動拍攝都無問題, 所以70-200恒定F4當然足够拍攝普通運動題材.
2. 迫明星好用.
3. 防抖出色, 當然比任何牌子的天涯鏡(28-200, 20-200, 25-200)防抖出色. 即然有防抖, 遠攝質素高.
4. G鏡, 永遠輕過GM鏡. G鏡永遠散景差過GM鏡. 但G鏡, GM 鏡可以同樣SHARP. 边角至中心銳利.
5. 是0.5X Macro鏡, 業餘拍, 好玩. 但專業仍要100 1.4X Macro GM
6. 70-200容易出片得like. 合乎有長焦需求又覺得70-200 GM II 不够輕便的師兄

唔好用 eXtender, 個 image quality 跌得幾大
所有野都滿意，70-200 唔洗追求 2.8 II，輕、Marco 已經係最大優點。

- At the same aperture, image quality as good as GM2 (I took photos using both lenses and compare the light room classics outputs in PC).
- Very sharp
- Small volume
- Low weight
- Very fast focusing
- Semi macro capability
- Can use Tele Convertor

- Not f2.8.

I struggled quite a lot between f2.8 gm2 or the f4 g2. In my opinion, there are only 3 relevant issues (1) Price, (2) aperture size, and (3) size and weight. I finally bought the f4, because of the weight and size issue. However, I think aperture is very important for (1) Bokeh and (2) the low light performance.

In short, this is a very good lens that is on par with the f2.8 in many aspects. Its major disadvantage is that it does not have f2.8.
