優點:
成像真係好靚, 變型亦唔係真係咁明顯. 有心入貨嘅買家唔好被測試報告所用嘅格仔測試圖而嚇怕, 因為影實景真係唔多覺佢有嚴重變形
缺點:
氛暗環境下F4顯得有點不足, 有VR亦幫不了太多

閣下聞相有幾叻? 在下試鏡時以D700 在豐澤用 AF-S 14-24 2.8mm ED 與 AF-S 16-35mm F4G ED VR 在相同距離同等焦距各影一相, 回家後張兩張相同時放電腦無用 Photoshop 問家人兩照片分別, 結果無人猜到那支鏡影那張相. 實驗証明現今科技已進步到是一定要用口講比人知道, 大部份用家才會分辦得到. 我喜歡去旅行時採用輕身高質鏡頭, 亦是我主要考濾買入此鏡時之目的. 鏡皇與否並不重要, 其實無需運用復雜的攝影技巧便能抵消輕量邊旁變形. 不嫌其煩再問多次:"閣下聞相有幾叻?"
優點:
好輕身用係戶外活動一流, 又可以加FILTER , 做工好, 手感一流
16有好少的暗角, 18已經無晒,(本人配d700用開左減暗角(NORMAL)已經無晒16既時候) 成像絕對指得住鏡王, 最正係VR當用慢速快門既時間VR真係好幚到手(影水流)

缺點:
好貴, 成萬蚊一支4光圈 , 變焦既時候 鏡片會向內移 (前後)都會 (後即是連接機身個到) 若果唔想支鏡咁易入塵記得用完後將支鏡去返16MM

絕對無買錯! 因為幾乎係唯一選擇 17-35 係FOR DX格式既機身 而新出既廣角就真正FOR FX機用既所以D 邊位一定係新既廣角鏡好D! 17-35無防水滴膠邊!
對焦絕對係好快既! (之前聽過有人話佢對焦慢) 若果有意入呢支鏡既師兄不防到NIKON 客戶中心試鏡自己比較下!

- Can use filter (for protection, in my case)!!!

I bought the N16-35 to replace my T17-35. The picture quality is simply excellent. At f4 the PQ around the extreme corners has room for improvement but I always use f8 or smaller aperature for landscape so I have no problem for that. I love the color tone of this lens. May be I have been using the T17-35 for too long and I've get used to its sharpness and performance, then I found that the N16-35 is much better in every regard. I recommend this lens to those who are still questioning about the sharpness and PQ. Even I exam the picture in original size I've no complain. Now this is the ideal landscape lens on my D700.

- Nano help reduced flare and 光班 greatly, but not completely
- the 16mm is useful in taking scenery
- It is the lightest ultra - wide @ 680g for FX
- No more carrying of a tripod
- the price is cheaper amongst the 3 Ultra-wide @ around 10k.
- You can use CPL, ND filter on this lens, unlike 14-24 (no filter)
- 收一收光圈到5.6, very sharp , and sharpest MTF for all focal length
- Colour is as good as 1735 , i feel it has more saturation than 1735, d 色還原比較好.

- the largest aperature starting @ f/4 , some ppl won't like it, but not a matter to me
- without aperature ring, you cannot use on film bodies
- Distortion @ 16mm is horrible(none in 20-35 range), but easily correct in NX2 or PShop
- The focus is tad slower than 17-35 f2.8 due to the inclusion of VRII
- This lens will be very hard to get than the 14-24, because supply will be always so limited

I am an owner of previous AFS 17-35 f/2.8, I sold it and switch to this one
I paid a bit deposit for 14-24 originally, but then after reading tons of overseas forum, i decided to switch and buy this 16-35.
Get this 16-35 for FX format. This is the king of ultra-wide for FX. It is also the sharpest among the 3. The 14-24 cannot take filter and less in range. The 17-35 does not have VR
