由 50mm 至 80mm 焦距 , 最好不要無限遠對焦, 因為銳利度大降, 目標物限制在七至八米左右較好。

此鏡用在 a700 及 a200 上, 除對焦能力外, 分別不大。
鏡身十分輕巧，重量只有 440 克。鏡頭的廣角端可將大部分的環境收納，而遠攝端則方便用於街頭抓拍以及特寫。由於鏡頭用了 T* 鏡片塗層，即使在晚上拍攝街燈、車流等景物，亦幾乎察覺不到眩光問題的出現。
此外，亦貫徹CZ 鏡頭的銳利作風，這種銳利由16mm至 50mm攝端、由相片中央至邊緣都是顯而易見的。

Lens quality vary, i exchanged 3 times and only the final copy of the lens is what i expect a Zeiss lens should be.

Sharp, very sharp. Heavier than 18-70 but quality seems to be alot better. Black coners at 16mm, but not visible at higher F number.

i was a Carl Zeiss user in contax age, this lens i used for one month then sell it, disapointed...
hope the full frame will launch ZA 28-85 F4 with compact and resonable price in future
